Anna Harvey launched the Jail Data Initiative as a project of the NYU Public Safety Lab in 2019. Since late 2019, Orion Taylor has managed the project's operations.

Director, Public Safety Lab
Anna is the Director of the Public Safety Lab, and Professor of Politics and Affiliated Professor of Data Science and Law at New York University, and the President of the Social Science Research Council.
Orion Taylor
Lead Data Scientist
Orion is the Lead Data Scientist for the Public Safety Lab, and a graduate of the NYU Center for Data Science Master's program.
Marshall Bolen
Developer
Marshall joined the Jail Data Initiative in 2022 to assist with developing web applications and APIs. He holds a master's degree from the University of Arkansas and previously served as a non-commissioned officer in the Army.
